This is from the Just for men CD and I think the image is so apt for all our men friends who are so into gardening This one is for David who is always going on about his fruit and veg so hope He likes it.I used an 8 by 8 card so I could add extra with the decoupaged image also Added some border which I glittered and I hope looks like cabbages !! its not but hey ho ...Would love to know what you think ...

Saw where a crafter had used ribbon to do lattice work on another site so I thought Id have ago. I used Jaks free floral fancies in pastel colours to add to the lattice

This is for another Great neice who has had a little girl they are coming fast and furius at the moment lol ...The sheet is from Crafty Nikky which I decoupaged added some sparkle and a flower..This little new one will be called Isobel havent seen her yet but hope to this week.........

THE BIRTHDAY CARD is for my sister for her DIL so used one of Crafty Nikkys decoupage and a lovely lilac card quite straightforward Lace along the top and just added a bow for effect

I am lucky to be here today as I couldnt access my blog at all it was gone completly so had to ask Mr Google to sort it out for me which i must say they did very quickly
dont know what the problem was but I hadnt been naughty really :0)x

40th Wedding Anniversary

Its our neighbours 40th Wedding Anniversary soon so this is the card ive done for them It is a stitchedCD done in bright red thread and beads. Ive added some red hearts at the corners .Unfortunately the flash has reflected the Cd on the photo but hopefully you can imagine it without the glare.....

this is my first card for this year it is for my borther who will be 88 at the end of January. As he likes a bet on the horses thought I would use this Framin Blacksmith from The Big One CD .Ive added some peel offs around the frame as want to get rid off some of my stash I think it works do you?

Iused to love doing these cd years ago so thought I would use this one and update the card for my sisters daughter. I remounted it on a8x8 card and added some pretty backing paper and lace My sister loved it so lets hope her daughter does too she is coming home for 5 weeks from Australia just after christmas.

I will wish all who pop by a Happy Christmas and all the best for 2012 especially in the health dept as know how important that is.........

Granddaughters Graduation card

Although our eldest granddaughter is lucky enough to be working for the past 2 months in the Intensive Care Unit at the childrens ward in the Freemans Hospital at Newcastle it is her graduation ceremony on Monday I am hoping to attend but it depends how I feel......
Ive never made a graduation card before so hope this is Ok. I used pearlised pale pink card embossed the top and bottom with a cuttlebug flower strip to which I added pearls in the centre. Then added a silhouette ( bet this isnt spelt right lol )of a graduation figure one of Crafty Nikkys sheets a couple of the lovely pearl pins which a crafting friend kindly sent me to try .

Hope she likes it and you think it is Ok for a Graduation card..

Well I didnt make the ceremony but my daughter and SIL said just as well as it was a long day and bitter cold..Here is some of the pics they took of one very happy clever granddaughter....One with her mum (my daughter) and one with her proud mum and dad.

Daughters birthday card

I know alot of you dont like cutting up the Debbie Magazines but I think it is a shame not to use her gorgeous papers. This one is for my daughter it is an 8x8 in white I used the MS punch floral vine down the side Papers and images from the magazine and some nesties shapes added a flower and a few pearls.. Hope she likes it.
Im off to Docs for results of my tests tomorrow so see what they say probably virus if not hope it is something they can treat. Thanks for visiting...

Youngest granddaughters birthday card.

I was asking my youngest granddaughter what she wants for christmas and she said well Im into purple and sparkly ..well ive still not a clue for christmas but this is the birthday card ive done for her 13th.
I used one of b wendys lounge girls and the alphabet from Granny enchanted digital lots of glitter paper and the MS floral punch.. and of course some wild orchid flowers. Think this should fit the bill do you?

Kind off LIM cards

Havent been well for the last three weeks with a throat and chest infection and a virus. Had 2 lots of antibiotics and the infection seems to of cleared up but the virus is still around have to see doc again this week so see what he says.Apparently viruses can last for weeks and they seem to keep coming back at you :0(...So hope you all KEEP WELL..
Ive heard so much about these Lim card that I thought Id have ago ...well are they classed as LIM? .

The other one is the musical embossing folder allegro with christmas greeting on and a gold snowflake with a red ribbon for effect

Did a rocker card with the Fizzy Moon decoupage and papers this was such a good set
Val helped me with the round sentiment and I punched the snowflakes out with a punch I forgot I had...Only one more granddaughter to do for then I can start on special family and friends...

My second eldest granddaughter will be 21 on 31st so thought I would try something different.Ive used an 8x8 card with 4 windows so to speak and when they are open Ive put 4 pics of her as a baby a youngster a teenager and now behind.Ive added a key charm and a pumpkin was going to do spiders hanging but decied thethe pink butterflies went better.

My sister asked me to make a card for one of her granddaughters so I opted for this sheet of Crafty Nikkys of shoes think most young ones like shoes dont theY? Used the MS. floral punch on the top and bottom of the card and attatched some shiney purple halogram card behind so it shines through. Added some pearls and a flower.

Friends 70 with a little help frm Debbie Moore

One of our friends will be 70 soon so this is the card Ive done for her. A Debbie Moore image and papers all from one of her Magazines I just added abit more glitter and some feathers. I used the MS.Vintage doiley punch down the sides of an 8x8 card gold glitter paper behind so it shows through and added some pearls in the centre of the flowers. Lace from Wild Orchard crafts and a couple of those lovely pearl pins that a kind crafting friend sent me to try finally added a couple of lace and pearl flowers.

Thought Id make a start on family christmas cards so started with the youngest granddaughter Just used Fizzy Moon decoupage on a white shimmered card added a flower I made following Bevs instructions some snowflakes some bought and some punched out myself Threaded the ribbon on a twist so it had like a kiss effect and added a circular sentiment that a crafting buddy designed for me.Hope she likes it..

Their was 20% off in my local craft shop today so treat myself to the hearts and star x cut nesties. .Had to have a play and here are the two cards Ive made.
The christmas one I tried to use as many embossing folders as I could.... think it works do you? The second one is for an Aniversary again used a Few folders for effect.
Not alot of point in having all these folders and not using them thats my excuse anyway.

This is one of Crafty Nikkys decoupaged sheets of a pansy so I just had to do it as it is one of my favourite flowers I think they have such cute faces...
Embossed the card with florette embossing folder mounted the pansy onto a shiney silver cut circle added some pearls to the small embossed flowers and the greeting and a butterfly. Quite a simple but effective card I think do you?

I always struggle abit with mens cards unless theyve got a special hobby so iv made a fun one this time for our friends birthday .It is a decoupaged sheet from Crafty Nikky which I mounted onto an oval shape in cream added some silver corners and a few balloons..
The picture of me with my Great Great Nephew Jack was taken when I went to see him yesterday on my mobile but you can see he is a wee smasher and I dont feel that old..lol

Fabric squares Christmas cards

Loved doing these last year so apart from the snowman the anemone and the window scene are some new fabric squares ive got for this year. The window scene I made a mistake and stuck the square card down wrong so I couldnt open it correctly so Ive made it into an A5 and it seems to of worked. Also had a nice surprise as I thought I need some snowflakes on these and low and behold I found a new snowflake punch in my drawer that I got in a sale and forgot about I can see that will be used alot this year..Hope you like them they are such a good buy as you get about 33 squares
and they only cost about £3 with p and p.Thanks for looking and Id love it if you left a comment.................. I embossed all three with cuttlebug folders unfortunately some dont show up to well in the pics.....

2 cards for Baby Boys

Done another couple of cards to welcome baby boys as quite a few needed this year.
On the first I used a sheet from Crafty nikky of a stork embossed the card using the paisley folder added some ruffled ribbon at the edge a blue flower and the round greeting...
The second used the smaller scalloped cards this time one of Nikkys sheets again of a baby in a bath embossed with the florette folder and added some pearls and a round sentiment again edged with some unusual blue wire I had.
Better do some more girl ones soon just in case..Thanks for looking and Id love it if you left a comment....

One of my hubbies hobbies is fishing but I wanted to get away from the card with a fisherman on so Ive used this balloon cut out someone kindly sent me loads a few years ago in different colours from the old Imagination site I printed Maureens sky straight onto card found a great picture of a trout which I decoupaged finished off with gold sentiments.Hope it brings a smile to his face on his birthday.

Eldest granddaughters birthday card

My eldest granddaughter will be in Corfu for her birthday with 3 of her friends all student nurses having a weeks break before finishing their last placements in Newcastle hospitals and qualifing as childrens nurses this is the card Ive made for her.
It is from the Debbie Moore magazine layered onto a heart doiley on an 8 by 8 card which Ive punched the sides with the deep edged fan punch.Added some flowers and beads. We always call her SJ as her name is Sarah-Jane hence the initials on the card.

This is for my friends mum who is going to be 90 in June she is short sighted so hope this one is Ok for her. I used one of the La pache flower decoupages. used the MS floral vine punch down both sides of an 8 x 8 card added some pink flowers from wild orchard and a ribbon. Hope her name is clear enough for her to see. What a milestone 90 she is having a big family party so hope that goes well for her...

Had to have a play with my new MS butterflies punch. I used it on both sides of a strip of white card embossed the centre with swiss dots and coloured the butterflies
Mounted some flowers in the middle of the butteflies and added a ribbon .I think it looks very summery how about you?

I used an 8 by 8 card and punched down the edges with M.S punch embossed treefolil heart then decoupaged the chocolate sheet from Sarah added some flowers on the extra pieces of chocolate and pearls in the middle pattern and ribbon of butterflies across the top the chocolate looks good enough to eat dont you think?

My great neice is expecting her first baby so Ive prepared two cards one for a girl and one for a boy ...Im prepared :0)Both the decoupages are Nikkys on the girl Ive added MS pink border and some felt flowers.. and embossed with a small disney fairy..The boy matching backing paper and ribbon and embossed with the In stitches folder. Craft reuniteds challenge for this month is buttons.Although I like to see buttons on a card Ive never used them till now..Thought Id use another of Nikkys decoupage and do an easter card for my youngest granddaughter realy must get it in the post today...Used the chicks and daffodils image added some gold ribbony stuff underneath and edged the cream card with MS floral vine punch and used deep yellow insert sheet so that it reflects through the pattern. Had to buy these buttons 18p each but thought they were pretty what a fab selection our local haberdashery has but some of the prices are abit OTT must have another look in my button box..Thanks for looking...........Happy Easter whatever you are doing.

Time for something new

Gold backing and added a butterfly. Inked the tree just from the ink pad added some corners and sentiment..

Bright pink backing for this one inked the leaves from the ink pad with green and added some pearls on the flowers.M.S. punch top and bottom and a little flower girl decoupaged one of Crafty Nikkys fab sheets.

Inked leaves and bird added a butterfly. The backing paper has glittered lines and some lovely green flowered paper on the front.

Quite enjoyed doing them might colour the next lot with water colours and see how they go.

Enjoying using these Debbie Moore images cant wait for the next Mag to see whats in this time..On the back I used some gorgeous lace I actually won in a giveaway added a flower topper I had.The second step is from the same topper sheet with pearls added
and the front step matches the backing on the image with the greeting and a flower I made using a tutorial by Bev quite pleased with the result what do you think?

You had to follow the sketch any subject so I did this one for a 21st.The decoupage Ive used is one of Crafty Nikkys quite enjoyed following a sketch for a change but youve to put your thinking cap on to do all the parts....

21st for a Great Niece

This is the card Ive done for my Great Nieces 21st birthday doesnt that make me sound old lol :0) I used the lovely decoupage of the shoes and kitten from Crafty Nikky layered onto some lovely pink paper added some pink pearls to the shoes and mounted onto a nesties eyelet square
also embossed the Happy Birthday with my new sizzix die added some flowers and ribbon and of cause the 21..Was married when I was 21 but they dont seem in a hurry these days do they..... Hope she likes it.

Pink carnation

Embossed a square triple cut out white card with the free embossing folder from the docrafts mag just little flowers which I then added pink centres to.I covered the inside with some net I rescued from some oranges was most surprised it was white as they are usually bright orange. Then added the carnation from La Pashe blossoms set
put some peel offs round the square opening and added a couple of butterflies. Thought it would make a nice Get well card what do you think?

My Lovely fairy stamp

I was lucky enough to win this stamp off Bevs blog so here is my first attempt using it. Im not much of a stamper but did like this one .
First I embossed some card with one of my favourite Crafts Too folder birds and swirls Then stamped the image on and coloured with promarkers not sure if I like these as much as my water colour pencils though....Layered it onto silver mirrorcard and finaly onto a pearlised card.I used the MS Deep edged Floral vine punch which Ive just treated myself too along the top I added some pearl swirls and a sentiment. The colouring could be better but I will have another go soon as I love the stamp. Thanks for looking...........

Build a blossom/lattice cards

Love these build a blossom flowers this is how Ive used the Chrysthanamum. A crafting
friend Karen at http://www.kjssummerwinekorner.blogspot.com/ made a beautiful card using the lattice design so I remembered Id got some strips of glittered card and used them to make the green glittered lattice effect then added the chrysthamum and greetings. Hope you like the effect....

The second one is Gold lattice with Anemone flower and a couple of butterfliesThank you card using bronze lattice Finally a Anemone yellow flower and a feather on bronze glittered lattice..

Another nice and easel

Love these sheets just ordered the second set. This is the Iris so I mounted it on some lovely purple halographic paper added a scroll I found in the sales bin in my local craft shop and made a circular sentiment.
The lower part is some lovely swirl paper Ive had for awhile edged with a MS border and pearls finished off with some Happy Birthday ribbon rescued from sisters birthday cake :0) Hope you like it.......

For this one I printed a scene off then added one of the ladies decoupaged simple added pearls flowers and ribbon .I entered this one for the Crafters Reunited inspiration challenge using an image from a CD..

For the second one I just had to try my new MS floral vine punch out for the border .

Got the new Inspiration Mag by Debbie Moore and the the freebies inside are just up my street and gorgeous heres one Ive done for a 60th Birthday. Unfortunately the way Ive phototgraphed it you cant really see the greeting. I followed Jaks tutorial on how to do an easel card and found it so easy.
Also put a quicky Ive done of the Deco ladies on a flower shaped card...

New Home Card

My second eldest granddaughter
has decided to try living away from home with a girl friend now she is in a Good Job.Hope she can manage the bills :0) Here is the card Ive done for her. It is a step style. Embossed with the gorgeous Universal embossing folder Flutterby enhanced with pearls and peeloffs then added the chrysanthum flower from the Blossoms set put a cute teddy with parcels on the top step in between the M.S fan punch borders then lace flowers and finally the greeting with a row of pearls along the bottom.
The youngsters all seem to want their independence these days mind I was married at her age so best shut up lol :0)Heres the card.........

If you like flowers you will like this new Nice and Easel set of decoupage the flowers are all beautiful Here is how Ive used the anemone probably have to check this spelling lol :0)Knew it got the m and the n the wrong way round originally lol :0)
Used a deep blue card and layered with some self adesive glitter card which was on offer at Hobby craft 3 sheets in the pack for 49p...so I got the gold silver and a lovely pink the only 3 colours they had left :0) Just added a blue bow and some lovely pale blue beads on wire down the side.Hope you like it..

First attempt at a step card

Love these step cards but my own efforts never fold right so bought some of the blank cards this week to try and here is my first effort. Used one of the new Build a Blossom flowers I also got this week cherry blossom this one. embossed with budding vine folder added some borders and ruffeled ribbon on the steps and a few pearls. Find these hard to photograph though but quite pleased with the result just have to work out where to put the verse now.:0)

Quite a few 70ths this year this one is for a long time friend. I love these deco ladies so Ive used this one on some gorgeous shiney blue and silver card. Made the 70 with my new nestie and painstakingly added the stars and dots thank heavens for my crafting knife :0)Added some flowers from wild orchard and some happy birthday ribbon I found in my local haberdashery today the perfect match with silver Happy Birthday on it but you cant really see this unfortunately.Must get this one posted soon.Thanks for looking:0)x

Our friends have just had their 6th granddaughter so here is the card Ive done for the proud parents..
Ive used this template before years ago in the shape of a babies dress.Embossed the pink card with the perfectly pailsly folder then added some patterned acetate
finishing off with some pink pearls, bow and gold peel offs.
I think its rather cute do you?

SIL's Birthday card

This is for my SIL whose birthday it is in February so I am well organised just have the verse to find...I used the cuttlebug birds and swirls folder onto blue pearlised card then added the decoupaged pansies which is one of Nikky's sheets finished with MS. punched borders and pearls.
I am entering this for this weeks Fairymoon Challenge...As I used their sketch..

This is a Pinhole star by Kate Gannon I hope you like it I stuggled at first as the numbered instructions were in very small print but got there in the end.

Its our nextdoor neighbours 60th Birthday on 1st December so as he is an avid reader Ive used the old bookstyle card with a padded owl. Love doing these padded cards think Ive only got 2 left to do now. Would love to hear what you think of these cards.

The first is one I did for my sister for one of her grandsons. The sheet was one of Audreys from Lilac garden thought it appropriate as most young men are into cars.

This is for my brother and sister in law who are celebrating their Golden Wedding in November.

And finally one I did for my sister for one of her granddaughters.

I embossed with the Budding vine folder and used one of Nikkys lovely ladies decoupaged.Added MS punched fans on the corners finished with pearls and a brown flower ....

I love those easel cards on top of boxes but my boxes never look good enough so Ive cheated I found some toffees in £1 shop that she loves and the box is perfect.
Her Birthday is Halloween so thanks to Tracey Ive used this picture of a witch playing football as she plays in a local ladies team .Also used the haunted house thanks to Jak.Hope you like it.

Sisters Birthday card

My eldest sister is going to be 85 this week so as she has just planted a load of winter pansies in her tubs thought Id use pansies for her card.
Used a 3 fold aperature card which I embossed with the butterflies folder from CraftsToo.
Mounted the decoupage onto acetate and added a blue ribbon....and butterfly to finish off..

Christmas with Inklined digi stamps

Used some christmas papers by papermania as the background for this one coloured with water coloured pencils again ..

Won this stamp in a Halloween challenge with Inklined digi stamps so heres a couple of cards Ive done with it.

This one is embossed with Swiss dots and holly folders coloured with watercolour pencils and snowballs added at the top love these and just found them in my local craft shop.

Saw one of these Pippa had made and as shed left the link I bought some christmas onesto try heres the first.
Used pearlised blue card which I embossed with the dots folder also embossed a white square to add underneath the padded image. Finished off with MS fan punch border and some sparkle wool I found.Going to make a few more of these this year as they are different dont you think?

1 Im going to be 70 years young soon
2 Ive been married for 50 years.
3 Ive a girl and a boy both in their late 40's now and both born in Kenya.
4. Ive 3 gorgeous granddaughters 1 training to be a childrens nurse.2nd is sports mad and has played for England under 21's the 3rd who unfortunately I dont see too much off is just starting secondary school soon in Scotland where she lives.
5. Im another card maker fanatic make far too many but do give loads away to charities .
6.My second passion is gardening.Im in charge of the floral department so hubby says...
7.Due to hubbies employed Ive lived all over the world but come back to my roots in the north east.

First I must show you this orchid that my daughter bought me for Easter it had 3 flowers on then it now has 11 flowers with 2 buds to open it is truely beautiful.....

The first is for our friend Syd who loves the wildlife programmes so thought this tiger would do the trick...Made the happy birthday greeting with the MS Punch...

The Second is for Geoff and as he has a citreon car thought one of the wacky wheels
would do the trick. Found some oil on water red card embossed some gold with the happy birthday cuttlebug and here you go......

This snowman appealed to me

This is a free digi stamp image from imag-e-nation and he appealed to me so had a play.
the base card is white and although it doesnt photo very well it is embossed with the sizzix merry christmas folder. Then embossed with the cuttlebug stars on a nice bright blue embossed the snowman image with the dots folder and used some glitter on him giving him a nice orange nose with a thick paint. Added some of the new glitter stars peel offs top and bottom. Thanks for having a look at him....

Followed Fairymoon crafts sketch for this week.
Started with blue card... Blue mirror card about 1" wide across the middle then blue mirror card, grey pearlised card added a deco lady decoupaged.then added some papemania vinyls added pearls to the flowers and finished off with one of Iris flower designs. Hope you like it....

Had to make a Birthday card for one of our friends so thought Id try out my new MS punch.Happy Birthday put mirror card behind the cut out.Then added a pyramage by Nikky of watches.Also added gems to the stars and the centr of the watches but it doesnt show up much in the pic... What do you think?

50th Wedding Anniversary card for Hubby

It is our 50th Wedding Anniversary in less than 2 weeks time so heres the card Ive done for Hubby.He wouldnt know how to get on here so I should be safe Just have the insert to do now.......
Hope you can see it Ok as photographing mirror card is never easy. I used gold mirror card of course and the cuttlebug heart block folder and the Birds and Flowers sizzix which is my favourite at the moment. Wanted to use that technique where you rub your photo onto the card but couldnt get away with it so used a small pic of our Wedding Day instead.Hope he likes it.......
Cannot believe it is nearly 50 years since we got married where on earth does the time go?

Embossed on silver mirror card with the daley field sizzix texture plate added the blue deco lady decoupaged plus a feather flower and ribbon....

Used the sizzix Birds and Flowers folder embossed on gold.mirror card. Added the pink Deco lady decoupaged and a spray of flowers.

It is my daughter and son in laws anniversary next week so used one of Crafty Nikkys decoupage images of a bird with a sunflower. Added a dove and punched the edge with a x cut butterfly punch and put some yellow velum behind .

Im into Easel cards at the moment This is for my friends Judys birthday who is into red....It is made using a Kanban image, papers from papermania and one of Jaks blossoms ...Also added a nice feather charm I found while out and about...

Our Eldest granddaughter is training to be a childrens nurse and her placement of 3months in ATHENS is coming to an end and she is due home on Friday hopefully but not certain because of the Iceland volcano. Anyway here is the card Ive done for her

Love doing easel cards at the moment and also love the deco ladies so combined them both for this one for my friends birthday..Embossed the crafts too swirl frame on silver mirror card and then cut round it to display the deco lady...

Our next door neighbour has just had a big operation for cancer so here is the card Ive made for him. He is a truck driver and loves his cars so thought this would do the trick.
Used my sizzix folder that looks like the road and a decoupage of an Austin martin car.

Granddaughters friend is 18 so made this card used the boot card but mounted it on an A5 card this time which Id embossed with swiss dots folder.

My Great neices is birthday is in April she will be 20 and as all young girls like shoes and boots thought Id do this boot card for her. Found a fabby papermania paper which I covered it with added flowers and some lace and ribbon and a butterfly and its done.....Hope she likes it
